Entry-Level Billing Specialist

Position is 100% on-site

Location: 1803 Burr Oak Blvd., Granger, IA 50109

Pay starts at $16/hr and is based on experience

Employment contingent on passing a pre-employment physical and drug screens.

Main Job Responsibilities

-Operates front desk, which includes (but is not limited to) welcoming all guests and vendors and providing them assistance as needed

- Invoice Customers

- Prepare freight bills

- Process credit memos, debit memos and rebills when necessary

- Administer accessorial pay for drivers and customers

- Assist with daily mailing of invoices

- Complete customer requests for copies of documents

- Communicate with drivers via Mobile Communications when necessary

- Indexing of driver paperwork

- Overseeing Switchboard

- Additional duties as assigned by Billing Supervisor

Education and Experience

- High School diploma

- 1+ year general office experience (preferred)

Skills and Personal Characteristics

- Communication, written and verbal

- Computer - data entry

- Proficient keyboard and 10-key skills

- Telephone skills

- Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills preferred, but not required

- Microsoft Outlook skill preferred, but not required.

- Self motivated

- Detail oriented

- Organized

- Ability to multi-task in fast pace environment

- Ability to get along with others

- Ability to stay focused in noisy environment

- Ability to work under deadlines
