SalaryAs Eastern Iowa’s largest private practice Radiology group, RCI provides insight and expertise to physicians and patients statewide. Our billing office is looking for an experienced Medical Billing and Insurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, hard-working professional with exceptional customer service skills and a high degree of attention to detail and discretion. The training for this position is in the office, but the ability to work from home one week a month can be earned after training is complete.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer service/ billing calls
- Accept payments over the phone as needed
- Process patient and insurance correspondence
- Research and investigate unsettled insurance claims
- Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance
Skills
- 2 years customer service and Medical Billing experience required.
- Medical billing and/or insurance certification is preferred
- General accounting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft office product knowledge and proficiency
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- 10 key calculator/keyboard proficiency
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
