SalaryAs one of Eastern Iowa’s largest private practice Radiology groups, RCI provides insight and expertise to physicians and patients statewide. Our billing office is looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Radiology billing experience and a thorough understanding of medical insurance processes. A minimum of 2 years of experience in other areas of Medical Billing may be considered. The ideal candidate will also have excellent problem solving and communication skills. This position is an in-office position, but the ability to work from home occasionally can be earned after training is complete.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customer service areas and facilitate the resolution to questions
- Assist in preparing patient estimates
- Assist with denial and insurance collection queues
- Process patient and insurance correspondence and remittances
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with proper billing procedures
Skills
- 2 years Radiology billing experience preferred.
- 2 years Medical Billing outside of Radiology may be considered
- Medical billing certification is preferred
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- General accounting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Microsoft office product knowledge and proficiency
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- 10 key calculator/keyboard proficiency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
