What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will contribute to enhance equipment performance by evaluating, identify and implement equipment reliability strategies to ensure it performs as intended and reduce/eliminate mechanical recurrent failures. The candidate will support maintenance activities, provide technical expertise on maintenance strategy and track equipment performance metrics.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Equipment ownership at CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) (Work orders approval, closing, PM strategy, spare parts definition/accuracy/updates), reliability and change control assessments and requirements.
Collaborate with Engineering Staff to ensure the best maintenance strategy on manufacturing equipment operations.
Responsible for enhancing equipment reliability focusing on equipment availability, downtime reduction and maintenance optimization.
Develop equipment performance metrics (availability, downtime, etc.) with emphasis on identifying equipment performance improvement opportunities.
Responsible for documenting processes, writing technical reports, and presenting findings to multi-functional team and management.
Lead the implementation of equipment improvements projects.
SME (Subject Matter Expert) for equipment systems regarding design, maintenance and point of contact during compliance operations.
Support equipment troubleshooting within the functional area or in the scope of technical expertise.
Support deviation process and define, implement and own CAPAs associated to equipment within area of expertise.
Drives Environmental, Health and Safety compliance within the organization

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Engineer professional we seek is an individual contributor with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering & 2 years of process and/or reliability engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Educational Background in Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering and experience working in a GMP pharmaceutical environment.
Understanding of engineering principles and troubleshooting of bioprocessing equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, chromatography systems and filtration units and CIP sys.
Knowledge in reliability engineering concepts such as failure analysis, RCA (root cause analysis) and preventive maintenance strategy.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends and troubleshoot technical problems related to equipment reliability, performance, and maintenance issues.
Knowledge in Change Control and CAPA using TrackWise.
Proficient with CMMS (MAXIMO)
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
Good written and verbal communications skills including technical writing in both English and Spanish.
