Graduate of an Iowa Critical Care Paramedic Program. Minimum of 5 years ambulance experience preferred.
Certified Iowa Paramedic or RN exemption. Critical Care Paramedic Endorsement. Valid IA Class C driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). BLS provider, ACLS, PALS, NRP required; PHTLS highly recommended. Mandatory Reporter and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training (NVCI) within 6 months of hire. EMS-Instructor endorsement preferred.
Position Summary
The EMS Education Coordinator acts as an EMS provider, educator, evaluator, consultant, and researcher in the development and maintenance of quality patient care and professional practice standards. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne.
