The Employee Services Specialist Supervisor is responsible for supervising the HR Service Center and Employee Service Specialists.
- Responsible for the resolution of more complex issues regarding university policies and business procedures.
- Processes and oversees onboarding transactions of new employees including I-9's for domestic and foreign nationals, direct deposit, Taleo assistance, benefits options and fingerprinting scanning for the UH payroll system. Ensures compliance in onboarding practices.
- Resolves complex issues regarding university policies and business procedures.
- Assist the HR Services Director in development of standards, procedures and processes for the HR Service Center. May assist in coordination of special projects.
- Coordinates the development and communication of procedures, job duties and training for the Employee Services team to meet established service standards.
- Responsible for providing metrics and status reports for the activities of the HR Service Center.
- Assists Employee Relations team with data, metrics, and information related to eTermination and exit surveys.
- Completes the performance assessment of the Employee Services Specialist.
- Maintain supplies and resources for the HR Service Center. Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.
Description
Bachelors and 5 years experience
Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.
