- Reviews membership applications for approval. Opens and discloses all types of new accounts, counsels’ members regarding the activity of their accounts, and cross-sells every service needed to meet the member's financial needs.
- Provides notary service. Opens, closes, and provides daily entry to safe deposit boxes.
- Responsible for the security of their own negotiables until signed over to the proper designated employee.
- Teaches members to use audio response, ATM, MasterCard, Money-line.
- Assists members with applications for loans, MasterCard, direct deposits, IRA withdrawals or changes, electronic tax filing, check reordering, automatic transfer, and wire transfers.
- Produces and explains statement, verifies transactions made on accounts, and make necessary corrections.
- Distributes mail within the department.
- Locks and unlocks front doors for appropriate lobby hours.
- Must be alerted to address corrections.
- Responsible for the security of their own negotiables until signed over to the proper designated employee.
- Performs all teller functions as required and other duties as assigned. Assists with new teller training.
- Two or more years’ experience with a financial institution or a credit union, working in a teller and customer service-related position.
- High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
- Personal computer, basic office equipment.
- Personable, well-groomed, tactful, compassionate, likes public contact, able to make a judgment call with confidence, reliable, flexible, alert, and aware of surroundings. Must set an example of professionalism.
- While the following list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented, identified physical requirements include being able to move quickly, climb occasionally on safe deposit box ladder, a lot of rushing, sitting, bending, and talking. Some lifting not to exceed 25 lbs.
