Job Summary
As our Email & SMS Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing our email and SMS marketing strategy to help us reach our target audience and drive revenue growth. You will work closely with our marketing and sales teams to create engaging campaigns that effectively showcase our products and brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize Email & SMS revenue
- Maintain email and SMS marketing calendar for daily broadcasts
- Create and optimize 30 day automations for new customers
- Create and optimize special-use automations, like abandoned cart sequence
- Ensure high level of deliverability and strong sending domain/IP reputation
- Keep up on all ESP changes and guidelines to maximize deliverability
- Ensure all email sales are tracking in our CRM for proper attribution
- Prepare reports for management on sales, growth and deliverability trends
- Prepare reports for copywriters on creative performance to ensure feedback loop
- Mark sure transactional emails are functioning and with high deliverability
Qualifications
- 2+ years of full email list management experience at a large ($25M+/yr) direct-to-consumer ecommerce company
- Strong knowledge of direct response marketing tactics
- Strong knowledge of direct-to-consumer marketing (including flash sales, etc)
- Strong experience optimizing email sequences
- Strong experience working with direct response copywriters
- Strong track record of ensuring email deliverability
- Strong spreadsheet skills, ability to filter / analyze data
- Strong understanding of affiliate marketing
- Experience hiring and managing a small team of 1-2 people
- Strong ownership of responsibilities
- Willing to get in the weeds and do whatever it takes to get the job done
- SasS: We use Maropost for email, Brevo for transactional email and Attentive & Call Loop for SMS
What Success Looks Like
- Email/SMS grows in first 90 days and quarter-to-quarter
- Set ambitious goals and hitting them
- Attack email performance from all angles: strategy, copy, metrics and deliverability
- Work closely with copywriters to optimizing and improve our most critical automations, able demonstrate measurable gains in average open, click rate and revenue per automation
