**Remote** - The EMR Data Architect will focus on custom data extraction, reports and enhancements to support McLaren's EMR applications across all McLaren's subsidiaries. The EMR Data Architect provides expertise to guide vendor staff in implementing and maintaining custom code used across McLaren subsidiaries. Also, establishes and enforces processes for resolving solution deficiencies and enhancing solution capability.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Takes part in all aspects of solution development including requirements gathering, feature design, implementation and deployment. Works on larger projects and systems while assisting on smaller projects and systems.
- Monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the IT Service Delivery teams.
- Provides technical support to McLaren entities as needed. Interfaces with the user community regarding application design and support. Shares experience and expertise by collaborating with other members of the team.
- Design, develop and implement custom clinical and revenue cycle system enhancements to meet user needs in accordance with McLaren Project Development standards and specific project requirements.
- Document, test and validate application functionality.
- Support the implementation of applications/application upgrades and prepare the appropriate documentation.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a information technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Equivalency is Associate degree plus 5 years of experience working in either healthcare or as an IT analyst)
- 10 years (15 years without Bachelor's degree) information systems support experience in Cerner solutions
- 5 years (10 years without Bachelor's degree) of IT experience working with CCL, or equivalent SQL programming languages.
- 5 years database work experience
- 3 years of Data Transformation work experience
- 5 years programming work experience in one of CCL, SQL
- Ability to travel to offices in all McLaren Regions. Travel will be kept to a minimum, unless additional resources are needed.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a information technology field.
- Certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP) or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
