Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Maintains overall functioning of integrated departmental solutions.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to systems analysts for the on-going maintenance, testing, workflow development, workflow analysis, technical build/configuration, change documentation, testing, and application deployment/support of departmental applications.
- Leads site pre-assessment visits for subsidiaries and sites transitioning to EMR, to ensure overall readiness. Also, serves as the primary IT applications expert for the department during subsidiary and site activations.
- Configures EHR and related systems, including user security, parameter settings, and business rules. Responsible for solution build within the EMR for any new hospital, service line, acute, and ambulatory venues for the assigned department.
- Collaborates with core parties to guide investigation and feasibility assessments of new technologies, applications, and systems related to evolving departmental needs.
- Provide guidance and leadership, along with IT Delivery teams, to ensure staff stay within McLaren standards for permitted user customizations.

Required:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field, pharmacy field or information technology
OR
- Associate degree plus 10 years of experience working in either healthcare or as an IT analyst.
OR
- High school diploma plus 15 years of experience working in either healthcare or as an IT analyst.
- Cerner Experience
- 10 years information systems support experience in the following:
- Clinical Cerner solutions
- Revenue Cycle Cerner solutions
- Technical Cerner solutions
- Reporting Cerner solutions
- 10 years information systems support experience in the following:
OR
- 10 years of build and configuration experience Healthcare/Clinical IT (including, but not limited to Paragon, Allscripts, Epic or Meditech)
- Two years Cerner build and configuration experience.
- Ability to travel to offices in all McLaren Regions. Travel will be kept to a minimum unless additional resources are needed.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a pharmacy, healthcare, or information technology field.
- Certifications in primary Cerner solution area or Project Management Professional (PMP) or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
