The Electrical Systems Engineer will be responsible for the successful development and integration of vehicle electronics and electrical related systems and processes for our customers. The engineer will apply a broad skill-set pertaining to electrical/electronics vehicle systems design, development, and vehicle systems integration. The engineer will simultaneously be involved in multiple development projects as well as having direct interaction with customers.
- Design and create wiring schematics for component vehicle integration and bench validation testers.
- Support prototype and production processes including test design and execution, part procurement and tracking, shipping coordination, return material processing, supplier coordination.
- Derive E/E system specifications and requirements
- Technical HW systems support for bench and vehicle development
- Tester and production module SW flash programming
- Technician coordination management and ability to support physical work pertaining to electronics PCB and wire harness development.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience as Systems Engineer or hardware design engineer in automotive industry
- 1+ year of relevant experience in vehicle E/E systems development
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar
- Demonstrated ability in interpreting and assessing complex vehicle systems and architectures regarding electronics and overall vehicle E/E system architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diverse technical E/E system development from a research and development perspective
- Experienced in multiple industries (e.g. automotive, commercial vehicles, off-highway, etc.)
- Direct experience creating wire harness designs for manufacturing.
- Professional communication skills to be able to present and interact with clients
