Requirements:
- Strong electrical fundaments in following areas.
- High-voltage and High-power Battery pack electrical architecture.
- Functional safety and HVIL system implementation within a vehicle architecture
- EMI and EMC compliance within automotive applications
- Power conversion devise (DCDC, OBC, Inverter) fundamentals
- Electrical architecture design of the light and heavy-duty electric, fuel cell and hybrid vehicles
- Understanding of IEEE and SAE standards pertaining to electrical system design, build, test and certify the electrical systems for automotive application
- Highly skilled in developing 1-D electrical schematics using E3 or Visio-electrical, M-plan type of tools.
- Must be able to implement the high-voltage and high-power electrical board-net design covering following aspects
- HVIL, Contactor control, Pre-charge, Harmonics, EMI, EMC, PLC, Power sequence, Electrical power distribution, Electrical surge management, Electrical interference, Functional safety.
- Safe implementation of high current carrying cables and high-voltage cables and busbars.
- Design of the power-distribution system and high-voltage junction boxes
- Design of fail-safe mode for high-power electrical system
- Design for serviceability including DOT requirements
- Develop low-voltage power and communication schematics ensuring the accuracy for following
- Device terminals, pin-pin connectivity, harmonics, EMI, CAN, LIN, SENT, Ethernet, Analog and Digital signal handling.
- Wire gauge, type, considerations for safety, quality and robustness.
- Ensure the compatibility of co-existence of low-voltage and high-voltage cabling within the vehicle architecture
- Must have excellent understanding in developing electrical wire routing schemes
- Packaging, EMI, EMC, Safety, Robustness, Durability, Serviceability, Functionality aspects
- BOM management
- Change management
- Create drawings based on parametric CAD models per ANSI and ISO standards
- Should be able develop design to Integrate Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), Stack up Analysis, Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly.
- Familiarity with Advanced product quality planning (APQP)
Qualifications:
- Very strong skill in Electrical Design tools such as E3, Visio-electrical, M-Plan.
- Basic understanding CAD tool skills such as CREO 3D, CATIA or SOLIDWORKS
- Strong leadership skills and proactive behaviors
- 0-2 years of high-voltage Electrical Design and implementation experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
- Familiarity developing a product from concept to production
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
