Job Description
Although located at SEWS – Farmington Hills, Michigan Office, this is a flexible Work From Home position, which means an associate has the flexibility to work from home, but is expected to report to the local office as needed or required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop/maintain/complete tracking matrix and customer DVP&R on time to program milestones. Track progression towards completion of testing by PS builds.
- Schedule, develop and maintain test plan with Validation department to complete testing on time to customer milestones.
- Track and identify latest specification changes from OEMs for DV testing.
- Define testing profiles based on OEMs specifications and request clarification from customer where specification is not clear.
- Identify, track and resolve open issues.
- Good communication, time management and interpersonal skills required.
- Track issues or design changes to closure as they pertain to customer requirements for a signed DVP&R or signed with deviations.
- Interface directly with external customer - PMT, PAT, customer engineers and launch team.
- Interface with internal customer SEWS/SWS cross-functional groups, program managers and division management.
- Assist DRE/Systems/3D/Warranty engineers with issues and analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree with 1 - 3 years’ experience in the automotive industry as a Validation Engineer.
- 1 - 2 years’ wire harness (EDS Engineer) experience or validation testing preferred.
