As an Electrical Construction Project Coordinator, you will work directly with the Construction Project Management team and Office Manager with daily needs and functions such as data entry, tracking the progress of projects and working with various customer projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, work well under pressure, and possess a high level of professional customer service.
An Electrical Construction Project Coordinator will:
- Maintain, input and update LCCA (Labor Cost Control Analysis), while accurately tracking and record project status
- Provide department managers with full administrative support by entering information into various databases
- Maintain field scheduling and event calendars, within the database, coordinating with management
- Assist in the development of forms and spreadsheets as directed to help improve the construction process
- Assist Construction Manager/Project Managers with database maintenance/updating
- Assist CM/PM with project beginnings as well as closeout, gathering necessary documents for approval before submission
- Work with CM/PM to develop and document departmental “Standard Operating Procedures” and employee on-boarding
- Ensure the project plan, scope means, and methods are digitally transferred to the project foremen via departmental standard software
- Assist CM / PM’s in the jurisdictional permitting processes, ie conflict resolution, and permit status tracking
- Researching, assisting the vetting and onboarding process for subcontractors as needed
- May involve runner/courier responsibilities that include picking up/delivering permits, site meeting to address permitting conflicts etc
- Create project submittals & owner manuals
- Track projects and communicates to each PM / outside sales rep throughout the process
- Project set up within our database/company systems
- Prepares submittals for your review and discussion with your customers
- Print plans, documents and specification sheets, as requested. Maintaining estimating records notifications & addendums
- Assist on project invitations, site visits, note & photo filing
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Business Administration; Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred
- Minimum one year experience in Construction field
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a drug and background screen
- Electrical / Construction knowledge strongly desired
- Ability to multitask while staying organized
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Suite - primarily with Excel
- Be a resourceful problem solver that values creativity in assisting decision making.
- Maintain a strong ability to manage and complete projects under tight deadlines.
- Possess a positive and self-confident phone and personal presence
- Experience in lighting and electrical a plus!
