Job Description
The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Managers and General Manager with management of projects.
Duties and responsibilities
- Print, file and maintain updated project drawing and specifications
- Manage Performance and Payment and Maintenance Bonds
- Send rebar drawings to supplier to initiate creation of shop drawings for client
- Verify concrete mix per specs and request submittal package for client
- Send drawings to supplier to create panel and lifting & bracing books for client
- Finalize pay applications
- Create, issue, input and track vendor purchase orders
- Create client closeout documents at end of job
- Assist with creation and tracking of submittals
- Assemble and issue superintendent job books
- Manage RFIs process
- Assist in the change order process
- Coordinating pre-job meetings
- Maintain job files
- Assist project managers with miscellaneous administrative functions
- Coordinate/communicate with on-site field supervision daily
Qualifications
- Education – High School Diploma required, Associates Degree or BS in Business or Construction Technology beneficial
- Specialized knowledge - Concrete construction processes, procedures, industry norms and regulations, reading drawings
- Read and understand project specifications and drawings
- Skills – Analytical thinker, ability to foresee future obstacles, ability to manage all aspects of job
- Systems/Software – Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Adobe Writer, Bluebeam, Foundation
- Other characteristics – Good communication skills including verbal, written and presentational
- Experience – 5+ years of relevant construction project management experience
