Summary
Performs functions related to electronic EKG storage. Performs daily system operations functions, troubleshoots computer and connection equipment. Assists in EKG training program, establishing competency. Maintains an attitude of service excellence and customer focus. Performs EKGs as well as specialized Signal Average EKG's.
Essential Functions

• EKG Data Management System, learns software applications..
• Competency/Performance Improvement of Acute Care Staff- Supervises inpatient staff skills.
• Editing /Transmission/Processing of EKG's in electronic data system. Makes daily rounds in nursing units to ensure proper transmission of EKG's.
• Assigns EKG's to reading physician. Facilitates identification of EKG's with incomplete information.
• Performs EKG's on outpatients of all age groups. Performs EKG's as well as specialized Signal Average EKGs.
• Captures and verifies EKG charges.
• Quality of work-assumes accountability and responsibility for own performance, while performing duties in an independent manner.
• Maintains cleanliness of the EKG machines as well making sure the machine and all it's cords/accessories are in proper order.
• Answers calls, perform clerical duties including but not limited to: messages, filing/faxing, instructing patients.

Requirements
Education: Minimum Education Highschool Diploma or GED
Preferred Education: Vocational/Technical Degree
Basic Life Support CPR required
