Early Morning Pastry Baker

Black Bear Bread Co. is seeking enthusiastic, dependable Early Morning Pastry cooks.

Previous experience is preferred, but not required. We love to teach, and other skills apply to Early Morning baking. Our staff consists of artists of many kinds, teachers and nurses, career chefs, and former novice bakers.

Responsibilities include baking of daily pastries for three locations and multiple wholesale accounts along with other team members, in staggered shifts starting at 2am, 3am, and 4am.

After baking, responsibilities include production of baked goods (including croissants, danish, cinnamon rolls, scones, cookies, and more), fillings, icings, and other components of our from-scratch, classically inspired pastry menu.

Must be willing and able to follow Black Bear’s carefully crafted recipes in a fast-paced environment, while working closely with other team members.

Full and part-time positions are available. Full health, vision, and dental plans offered. This position is an hourly wage, with flexible work hours during a 24 hour schedule.

Compensation based on experience and resume.
