Summary: Merchandising our website and maintaining an assigned group of vendors primarily in the powersports category with additional focus on Emerging Markets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
A solid knowledge and understanding of the powersports industry is required.
- Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain strong communication and professional relationships with assigned vendors, including:
- Email, phone and video conference communication.
- Site visits and meetings.
- Address vendor issues with our web presentation.
- Coordinate application updates and corrections.
- Review vendor performance and execute action plans.
- Negotiating business terms.
- Review all new products from assigned manufacturers.
- Onboarding of new SKUs.
- New product stocking levels.
- Assigning images, videos, and instruction sheets.
- Reviewing and assigning market segments and codes.
- Catalog placement.
- Catalog analysis to review brand/product presence in print.
- Maintaining media and web presentation of assigned product mix.
- Identify product errors in written copy and online copy and attributes.
- Answer requests from multiple departments within the company related to your assigned vendors, including Pricing, Advertising, Internet Marketing, Technical Data Management, Sales, and Customer Service.
- Coordinate vendor POP and display requests with our retail team.
- Chose products for advertising initiatives.
- Lead market specific focus group.
- Identify new trends, products and vendors.
- Project management, with the ability to lead team projects.
- Attend trade shows, and Summit sponsored events when needed.
Education and/or experience: Bachelor's Degree or 3 years equivalent work experience in Merchandising, Marketing, Purchasing or related fields.
*Approximately 60-80% work from home, with in-office staff and vendor meetings being required.
