Description
Under the supervision of the Health Promotion Director, administers the Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Cities Readiness Initiative program to meet required deliverables and develop and revise plans. Maintains, oversees, implements, and improves the Medical Reserve Corps Volunteer program including managing volunteers and grant deliverable requirements through NACCHO. Works on special projects at the direction of the Health Promotion Director.
Duties
- Manages PHEP Public Health Emergency Planning activities, exercises, updates response plans, and completes grant deliverables.
- Represents FCHD on community emergency planning committees.
- Coordinates the training of FCHD staff members and MRC volunteers and maintains training records.
- Coordinates the Medical Reserve Corps program. Recruits and trains volunteers.
- Serves as the Co-Chair of the Fairfield County Healthcare Coalition and holds the Fairfield County Seat on the COTS Coalition Operations Advisory Board for emergency planning.
- Assists in completion of injury prevention grant deliverable requirements.
- Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; may be required to attend seminars/training.
- Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures.

Qualifications
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Public Health, emergency planning or related field, or at least 4 years of experience in planning or preparedness program delivery (e.g., program implementation, program coordination, program monitoring & evaluation, budget development, grant writing/review, providing technical assistance).
- Candidate must have a valid Ohio driver's license.
