Job summary:
Summary: Ensure that customers both internal and external receive the quality emergency vehicle that they expect by inspecting the emergency vehicle and making any necessary repairs/corrections prior to shipment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspection of finished ambulances to determine defects and conformance to applicable standards and regulations; perform electrical load, and function testing, perform road tests.
- Must be able to perform both electrical and cosmetic inspections and be proficient at both.
- Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.
- Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Keep daily records on scheduling.
- Good interpersonal skills required to communicate problems verbally.
- Perform other tasks as required.
- Ability to rotate and learn multiple quality inspection gates.
- Must be able to handle multiple assignments daily as required.
- Ability to assist quality supervisor in quality and production improvements.
- Cross training Quality Inspectors
- Remounts Validation

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):
- Previous experience in quality control or quality assurance environment preferred.
- Must be familiar with all quality standards, and test protocols.
- Must possess good mechanical and or electrical ability and component operation functions.
- Understands drive trains and power unit operation and able to troubleshoot.
- Need knowledge of basic 12-volt electricity.
- Must be able to effectively interpret electrical schematics.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Knowledge and proper use of all safety equipment provided.
- Close attention to detail
- Must possess good electrical and mechanical ability as well component operation functions.
