Now Hiring!!!! Seeking Direct Support staff to work with individuals with Physical, Mental and/or Medical needs in community residential home settings. We are currently hiring for our Minnesota homes in or near the following areas: Scandia, Forest Lake, Ham Lake, Stacy, North Branch, Stanchfield, Harris, Rock Creek, Grantsburg (WI), Pine City, Beroun, Brook Park and Sandstone.

Direct Support Professional

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional evaluates the needs of the Individuals served, provides supervision and support throughout scheduled shifts, implements programs designed to meet the needs of the individuals in the home. The DSP works in a residential home setting with 4 individuals or less per home. The Direct Support Professional works closely with other staff to assure consistency and generalization of learned skills in order for members to more fully integrate into the community and to encourage maximum independence.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assists Individuals with all aspects of personal care needs

· Supervise and monitor well-being of Individuals

· Maintains quality control required by job specifications

· Enters log/data/health information on individuals

· provides one-on-one training to individuals through implementing established outcomes to help improve or learn new skills

· Works with team to assure a safe and healthy environment for Individuals and staff

· Attends and participates in team meetings and shares relevant information.

· all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

· Frequent sitting, standing, bending, walking, reaching, pushing and pulling

· Occasional lifting and carrying of 35lbs to 50lbs.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

· Great communication skills, verbal and written

· Ability to work with others effectively and as a team

· Reliable

· Show up to work on time and when scheduled

· Know how to budget time and multi-task

· Ability to think critically

· Able to work safely

· Ability to visually observe Individuals

Work Location: One

Job Type: Full-time, Part Time, and Relief

Pay: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour plus shift differential for overnight hours
