Definition The Donor Engagement and Grants Manager will support new project development and write, edit, organize and submit grant proposals to a wide array of funders. Oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive, timely and innovative stewardship and recognition program, as well as appropriate annual fund, special gifts programs, donor recognition and events.
They will apply knowledge of the organization, the health services delivery environment, and best practices to develop proposals that address the needs of underserved communities and are attractive to funders. Roles & Responsibilities Ensures completeness and accuracy of information in the donor relations database. Creates and implements strategies to identify and secure philanthropic partnerships with corporations and foundations that reflect our engagement goals.
Successfully stewards current corporate and foundation donor relationships, managing appropriate frequency of outreach, communication, and involvement. Manage the identification and cultivation of new corporate and foundation partnerships and the grant proposal and reporting processes for these supporters. Lead the development team/committee to plan and execute events that raise awareness and to secure financial resources; works with volunteers and contracted support resources as necessary.
Directs, cultivates, stewards, and manages the identification and recruitment of volunteer leadership for all fundraising related volunteer committees. Oversees the entire development business process and create and implement internal gift policies and protocols from donor identification through collections to stewardship, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Utilize fundraising database to track donor prospects to enhance and advance prospect and donor relationships.
Develops budget projections in conjunction with the CFO/Finance Committee and recommends fundraising goals to the CEO and the Board. Develops, monitors, and maintains an established budget for all development, marketing, and PR functions. Provides monthly reports on annual fundraising progress against goals with analysis of variances as needed.
Develops an appropriate level of internal communication, reporting and tracking of results; maintains strong lines of communication with colleagues. In conjunction with the Marketing Communications Manager, works on public relations, marketing and promotional efforts, including the development of collateral materials, promotional tools, media relations and advertising. Works closely with the CEO, staff, and consultants to formulate strategy and approaches for managing the HealthWorks brand.
Coordinates/manages the staff and information flow for special events, fundraising activities, and programs. Participates in the development of communications and publications for external constituents. Maintains a comprehensive case for support for HealthWorks; makes a persuasive verbal and written case for supporting key programs and projects.
Engages in public relations/promotional activities and events. Perform other related duties as assigned. Grants Manager Research appropriate funding sources for programs, general operating, and capital improvement.
Coordinate with CFO to create organizational yearly funding plan Maintain grant calendar with project-specific deadlines and deliverables Plan proposals, write requests, and prepare to submit reports to the specifications of grant agencies, manage all required documentation and packaging while maintaining quality control over submissions. Optimizing the grant administration process. Maintain excel spreadsheet on share drive documenting where to submit reports for grants and name of project officer from Grantor.
Tracking grant applications. Keep CEO and CFO informed of grant applications and reporting activity, awards, and declines: submit monthly internal reports of activity. Submitting grant applications via paper or online portals and maintain list of passwords.
Researching statistics, trends and data for grant proposals and community advocacy, including performing research and data-gatheringboth from external sources and HWs program data.
