JOB PURPOSE:
The Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the documentation team responsible for submission and retrieval of medical documentation to physician/referral source to ensure medical necessity required for funding by providing direct supervision to the employees. Supervision will ensure the delivery of quality service through monitoring, development of staff on a continual basis, and ensuring proper work processes meet Numotion procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the documentation team responsible for submission and retrieval of medical documentation to physician/referral source to ensure medical necessity required for funding.
- Interview, train, and make hiring decisions for individual contributors.
- Manage and delegate daily workflow of their direct reports.
- Oversee and ensure accuracy of documentation output.
- May assist the team members in collecting, tracking, storing, retrieving, and distributing documents, as well as provide assistance, as required, related to escalated issues.
- Evaluates the quality, completeness, and accuracy of individual and team outputs; Identify opportunities for enhancing the ongoing performance of business processes and collaborate with their leader on any changes.
- Implements processes to streamline, enhance the quality of, and improve the overall efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness of documentation services.
- Provides support within the scope of document control including preparation and implementation of internal and external audits.
- Provide on-going coaching, mentoring and development of direct reports.
- Develops and delivers training and/or guidance on document and records management processes.
- Assist the Medical Documentation Manager as needed.
- Collaborate with the manager to develop and recommend policies and procedures; develop written procedures to clarify or describe standard practices; coordinate the dissemination of procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered.
- One (1) year order processing related experience.
- One (1) to two (2) years previous lead, training, or supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
