PURPOSE OF ROLE: Provide customer service support to regional offices around the globe, General Managers and their customers. Also act as a back-up support for other team members as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Act as a direct contact for foreign sales offices
- Act as a direct contact for General managers and their customers if needed
- Receive orders from sales offices or directly from customers and process them
- Obtain price and credit approvals from management
- Work with product coordination to obtain product allocation
- Review order details and ensure they are in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Review order details and ensure compliance with customs regulation
- Send complete and detailed instructions to freight forwarder and warehouses
- Work with freight forwarder and warehouses to schedule shipments and follow- up.
- Arranges for pre-shipment inspections as needed
- Review and process letters of credit
- Invoice sales order in system within 48 hours after shipment and follow with forwarder on documentation
- Provide product certifications and other documents to regional offices and customers as needed
- Resolve customer issues in a timely/quality manner
- Claims: Research issue, obtain supporting paperwork, get approvals and process credits/debits in JDE
- Provide coverage for other team members
- All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Knowledge/Education- A four-year college degree and/or education and experience equivalent to be determined by Management
- 3- 5 years related business experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Detail oriented and ability to prioritize.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience with AS400 helpful
- Exposure to E-Commerce and the Internet a plus
- Fluent in Spanish a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
