Description
A District Manager is a senior level Territory Sales Manager that assists in the mid-level management of their assigned territory and with the supervision and guidance of all TSMs within that territory. They are expected to work closely with their Regional Manager. District Manager’s will assist their Regional Manager with managing their distributors – this means attending large and small format meetings, and reviewing reports generated by the distributor and or their regional coordinator.
Sales Tracker:
- Each DM must check in and out on the sales app every day.
- Every account visited must be logged and tracked on the sales app.
- All cases sold, cooler placed, POS placed, facings added, displays built, SOS messages, etc. must be tracked in the Rockstar sales app.
Trade Duties:
Daily /Weekly / Monthly:
- DM’s need to be in the trade 5 days physically calling on and tracking accounts.
- DM’s must take one day of each week and ride with a TSM/distributor rep in their territory (audit, teach, sell)
- DMs must visit a minimum of 40 accounts a week and meet the required KPIs set each quarter.
- You are required to place POS, reset vaults, sell in cases, cold equipment, displays, and send SOS compliance messages daily.
- DM’s who assist territory managers must conduct random audits and ride-a-longs to help, educate, and increase productivity in the trade. (*if you have no local sales reps in your territory then you will remain in the trade during like a normal day).
- Attend sales meetings / distributor meetings.
Communication:
- Maintain constant communication with TSMs, UGMs (Non Pepsi regions this would be your distributor management team)
- Communicate daily with your regional manager
- Keep updated distributor contact lists, route lists, call day reports, OTS account reports, etc.
- Work closely with distributor admin to attain 30, 60, 90 day reports relevant to our business (innovation, voids, distribution, shelf contracts, food service, etc.).
- Must attend all local launch meetings, you will be presenting our blitz launches, documents, and other useful materials. Schedule these meetings and attend with the local TSMs.
- Meet with TSMs daily / weekly, meet with USM at least twice a month, communicate SOS issues, PSR issues, how we can help to increase business, support, etc.
- Communicate market analysis with distributor, struggling markets, good / bad.
- Maintain the relationship between your distributor and TSMs (sales rep issues on both sides, support your teams).
Other:
- Training new hire reps if asked by Sales Operations team.
- Conduct secondary and follow-up phone interviews with potential new hire candidate (face to face if applicable).
- Support regional with weekly newsletters to all distributor branches you are directly responsible for (sample attached), if assigned.
- Random chain audits, for example dedicated 7/11 day to check vaults, POS, pricing, POGs, etc. Report back to sales coordinators / regional manager.
- Forecasting product for innovation launches, must carry SKUs being ordered, 24oz, etc.
- Forecast and maintain a healthy allotment of Celsius POS in each facility you are responsible for.
- Occasionally help sales ops team and regional manager with weekly performance calls.
