Chronicle Books is excited to announce an opening for a Distribution Sales Assistant in our Sales & Distribution department. Our ideal candidate is a highly organized person who is detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
The Distribution Sales Assistant will provide efficient day-to-day administrative and project support to the Client Account Managers, create agendas for calls, support and work closely with our Sales Directors as well as process images. They will work cross-departmentally with Operations, Marketing, Export, and other departments. In addition, the Distribution Sales Assistant will be involved with seasonal launch preparation, communicating deadlines to clients, coordinating advances and sales materials from client publishers, and getting involved with eCatalog management. Also managing the status of client titles, soliciting and sending out a weekly sales calendar, and managing the processes for requesting and coordinating advances and sales materials from client publishers will also be part of this multifaceted position.
Employees at Chronicle Books follow a flexible hybrid schedule of working a minimum of 2 days per week and up to 4 days per week in our San Francisco office, depending on project and business needs. Hiring Salary Range: $47,500 - $54,625. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the expected salary for this position and will be determined by factors including but not limited to: applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for our profit share plan.

Requirements
Candidates will need a minimum of 1-2 years of prior work history with clear and effective written and verbal communication skills. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills are strongly preferred. Prior experience with Salesforce.com, AirTable, MS Teams, and Google Drive will be a plus. An ability to prioritize effectively while meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks is essential. This role requires someone with a desire to work in a high-performing, collaborative team environment, and someone who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Customer service and/or some retail experience is preferred.
