Reports To: Supervisory Administrator Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary: Responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and understand basic directions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to complete work independently with frequent interruptions
- Ability to have strong, positive communication and interaction skills when dealing with co-workers, students, administration, parents, and/or the community
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of computers and various word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs and the use of other office equipment
- Ability to maintain efficient office procedures and a system for keeping track of requested actions and reports
- Ability to meet timelines
- Ability to react to change productively
Terms of Employment:
- 185 days - all student attendance days and other days as agreed upon by the Supervisory Administrator
- Eight-hour workday as assigned
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide office and clerical support to assist with the efficient operation of the building and for the Discipline/Attendance Office.
- Utilize strategies to de-escalate student behavior.
- Maintain a variety of discipline and attendance records for all students (onsite and out-placed students).
- Process discipline and attendance referrals accurately and in a timely manner.
- Compile, create, and maintain documents for building publications and on website.
- Organize, record and assign building level keys for staff.
- Organize, record and assign identification badges for staff and students.
- Organize, record and assign parking passes for staff and students.
- Keep current with best practices and requirements as they relate to the job assignment.
- Perform such other job related duties and assume such other professional responsibilities as assigned or delegated.
- Represent Hononegah Community High School in a professional manner.
