Role: Director, Sustainability As Director, Sustainability, you will be part of a cross divisional effort to create the strategy, ecosystem and commitments to scale the SAF production needed for Delta to meet its climate commitments. In this role you will also be responsible for advancing Delta's SAF, SBTi and other Sustainability metric reporting in line with emerging stakeholder and regulatory expectations; identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) on key ESG topics; and engaging with investors and other stakeholders to increase alignment between stakeholder expectations and the company's focus and reporting.
Primary Functions: Build SAF strategy and execute short-term and long-term SAF projects by working cross-divisionally (Fuel, Sales, Legal, Government Affairs, Finance) Responsible for developing go-to-market strategies and overseeing deployment of new SAF market-making activities Building a coalition of partners that are committed to using SAF to achieve sustainability goals. Secure, create a demand, and explore alternative resources to expand the SAF footprint. Lead and coordinate SAF programs including: long-term offtakes, building on SAF fundamentals, mandates, customer engagement programs, and technical projects Execute portfolio of all market-based measures related to CO2 including voluntary offsets, CORSIA, Scope 1,2,3 data, and other compliance schemes Lead work on setting and tracking climate-related goals and keep up with evolving trends and requirements (e.g.
SBTi) Represent sustainability team on industry and expert committees (SAF committees, industry associations, sustainability organizations, etc.) Act as sustainability point of contact to drive international, federal and state and local policies related to sustainability and SAF Maintain responsibility for deliverables and timelines, shifting priorities as needed and managing stakeholder relationships and expectations Responsive and agile in a fast paced, highly visible environment Support preparation of agendas / topics / materials for Board and other executive meetings in conjunction with other business leaders
