Director-Sales Spirits Distributor Management (GA/TN) - This position will be based in Atlanta, GA and requires regular travel within your assigned territory.  Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

We're looking for a visionary leader to spearhead our annual Spirits Operational Plan and Retail sales strategy, ensuring our brands not only meet but exceed their market potential. This role is a blend of strategic planning and dynamic field execution, where you'll be the driving force behind our pricing strategies, revenue goals, and sales contributions, all while maintaining an unwavering commitment to legal compliance and ethical business practices. In this pivotal position, you will lead by example, empowering and guiding a team of dedicated professionals and forging strong partnerships with our distributors. Your role is 50% winery and distributor engagement, where you'll take charge of the pricing for all brands, oversee the planning process, and manage budgets with a keen eye on profitability. The other 50% is devoted to field execution, working closely with distributor leadership to bring our annual sales plans to life, supporting the career development of your team, and fostering an environment of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. Your leadership will not only shape the direction of our spirits portfolio but also inspire a culture of intrapreneurship within our organization. What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of Winery/distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of winery/distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate plus 14 years of sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to travel by air and automobile up to 60% during the course of business.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What You Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales experience to include a prior director level rotation within Gallo winery sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master's degree plus 8 years of Gallo winery sales or distributor sales experience to include a prior director level rotation within Gallo winery sales reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Gallo Sales/Distributor management experience.
  • Skilled in statistical analysis and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of E. & J. Gallo Strategic Imperatives as outlined by the CEO and the Gallo Executive Leadership Team.
  • Experience leading and directing a change process.
  • Experience communicating with all levels of an organization.
  • Experience staffing and developing an organization.

Compensation:

  • Hiring salary range posted: $164,920 - $247,380 / year
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
