Pay rate is commensurate with relevant experience as well as the responsibilities of the position.
Full-time employees are eligible to participate in group insurance after 30 days of employment.
Location: Based in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. Some travel required, some work from home. Flexible work schedule.

Summary/Objective
Causey Aviation Unmanned is seeking a candidate to serve as the Director of Unmanned Maintenance for Part 135/107 drone delivery operation. Must hold a current A & P License issued by the FAA with the experience required by Part 119. This position will be responsible for oversight of maintenance for all of the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) used in the daily operations at multiple locations across Texas, North Carolina, New York and additional locations as assigned. The ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to meet customer, regulatory and business needs is imperative. This candidate will be expected to work closely with leadership, the FAA, flight operations and other team members to accomplish all tasks associated with this position. All tasks must be completed thoroughly with great attention to detail under minimal supervision. Based in the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area. Some travel will be required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to understand and ensure compliance with FARs and other regulations as well as CAU standard operating procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with the FAA, CAU team members and CAU clients
- Ability to directly supervise maintenance or other team members
- Ability to design scalable processes for compliance and safety
- Perform routine and on-demand maintenance on UAS
- Prioritize and perform maintenance tasks in a manner that keeps the UAS in airworthy condition at all times
- Perform initial visual inspection and routine maintenance on the UAS and its components
- Perform operational checks
- Dismantle and repair UAS and its components
- Ensure parts and components are readily available
- Clean parts and components of the UAS as required
- Identify, troubleshoot and repair discrepancies
- Develop and maintain a maintenance schedule
- Document and sign off on all work throughout each process
- Follow maintenance manuals
- Revise maintenance manuals as necessary
- Educate and train pilots on minor maintenance items
Skills and Abilities:
- Basic mechanical, electrical and software engineering knowledge
- Ability to perform precision work with hand tools
- Mechanical and electrical integration and assembly experience
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of FAA regulations

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possess a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification (A&P)
- Must be able to meet the requirements of 119.71
- Possess a valid driver’s license-subject to driving record check
- High School or equivalent
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Subject to DOT pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Experience in aerospace or robotics
- Experience in the development of manuals, training materials and operational procedures for maintenance operations.

Work Environment
This job occasionally operates in outdoor environments including inclement and hot weather, extreme-cold conditions in addition to office work. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, radio equipment, mobile phones, electronic tablets, multi-rotor small unmanned aircraft and remote control units.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to operate a vehicle and is required to speak and hear. The team member frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time; stand; walk; use hands, handle or feel; kneeling/crouching; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Usually normal business hours. This position may require on-call, weekend, and holiday work on rare occasions.
