The Opportunity

ConnexMarkets™ is hiring a Director of Platform Business Development to play a pivotal role in developing and executing on the go-to-market strategy for ConnexMarkets CXM Loans Platform. This Business Development leader will have oversight of the development strategy, lead generation, and complete Business Development life cycle. You will be expected to deliver on the revenue and earnings plan while providing a road map for consistent partnership and business borrower growth. The Director of Platform Business Development reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will be part of a diverse team of 10+ dedicated Fintech professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Possess and grow a deep understanding of the B2B commercial lending and funding ecosystems.
  • Become an expert of the services ConnexMarkets offers and drive growth of our proprietary, one-of-a-kind CXM Loans Platform.
  • Generate new business borrower and partnership opportunities through various tactics including cold calling, networking, conferences, and referrals.
  • Develop a pipeline of business borrowers and convert
  • Engage, excite, and educate prospective business borrowers and partners via platform presentations and product demonstrations, highlighting the benefits and features of our platform and products.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with partners, ensuring that all deals are profitable for both the company and the partner.
  • Develop strong pipeline and secure new business borrowers meeting productivity targets on a regular basis.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business borrowers and referral partners, ensuring that they are satisfied with our products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product, technology, and marketing, to ensure that business borrowers and partner needs are met, issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular reports on borrower and partner pipeline activities, feedback, and market trends to management.
  • Organize & and record all prospecting and partner related activity in HubSpot, our CRM system.

About You

  • 4+ years of experience with SaaS and/or solution-based partnership acquisition within Fintech or banking industries.
  • Self-starter mindset blended with tenacious drive and willingness to take calculated risks while understanding failure is part of success.
  • Proven track record of achieving new partnership goals and building strong relationships with business leaders and partners.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a national footprint of partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel and PPT specifically), HubSpot (or similar CRM), LinkedIn, ZoomInfo and other prospecting platforms.
  • Believe in and live our core values of teamwork, drive, integrity & excellence.
  • Willing to travel to meet development goals (events, in-person meetings, etc.)

What We Offer

  • Pay transparency range: $150,000 to $165,000 annually; this is a 1099 role with expectation to convert to W2 in 2024
  • Hybrid work environment; 1+ days a week onsite in Stamford, CT
