Job Title: Director of Performance and Quality Assurance
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Director of Performance and Quality Assurance is responsible for oversight of the Agency’s Quality Assurance program.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality Assurance and Improvement Plan Development and Evaluation including ensuring:
- State and Federal regulation compliance
- Policy and Strategic Planning compliance;
- COA accreditation standard compliance
- Customer and Client Quality Initiatives are developed and met
- Oversees Regulatory Compliance including:
- Coordinating to ensure all aspects of the standards are managed and outcomes are met
- Working with Management for oversight of program and medical record compliance
- Ensure Credentialing up to date for Provider programs
- Working to support achieving targeted outcomes
- Oversees Key Quality Management Systems including:
- QI Activities
- Prevention Program
- Quality of Care (including credentialing, adverse incidents, peer review linkages)
- Treatment Record Review
- Stakeholder Communication
- QA Data and Outcome systems
- Satisfaction Surveys
- Annual Analysis
- Support of Credentialing, Client Rights and Responsibilities and UM Standards
- Prepares or assists in Preparing Key Reports including:
- Dashboards
- Summaries
- Data review in Results Based Accountability format
- Work collaboratively with executive management to develop quality monitors/ performance standards and design quality improvement initiatives. Develop staff/project teams. Provide consultation, support and direction to project teams on project implementation and evaluation.
- Performs such other duties as may be requested by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or comparable field required. Master's degree in Social Work or RN preferred.
Preferred Licensures: LCSW, LPC, LADC, LMFT, RN with applicable management and Quality improvement or risk management experience would be considered.
Relevant Work Experience: At least 3 years QI experience including knowledge of quality improvement procedures in group home and community based behavioral health programs; knowledge of COA accreditation standards preferred.
Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate ideas and directions verbally are essential. The ability to operate a personal computer with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. Must have a valid driver’s license, the availability of a safe and roadworthy vehicle and provide the Agency with proof of suitable automobile insurance. Must pass a state police background check, a drug screening exam, a DCF protective service background check, and a motor vehicle check.
