The Quality Assurance Specialist will collaborate with FSC Program Managers, FSC Case Managers, and FSC Executive Leadership in executing key functions of Agency Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan.
- Review HMIS information inputted by Program teams, supporting data clean-up, Quality Assurance, and training on data entry best practices;
- Conduct internal chart audits of electronic and paper participant files to proactively identify errors;
- Executes key functions of Agency Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan;
- Drives HMIS data review and clean-up under the direction of the Associate Director of Data Quality & Compliance, supporting with reporting and report preparation;
- Conducts routine case note review to ensure content is appropriate to meet audit needs;
- Evaluate lease and housing documentation to ensure compliance with Fair Housing and funders;
- Develop and and cultivate data competence and compliance among staff in advance of audits;
- Compile Agency data to show program goal achievement, areas of success, areas of improvement, and to compare against regional and statewide coordinated entry goals;
- Represent the agency’s Data Quality team as substitute for ADDQC when needed;
- Make recommendations for professional development trainings for staff based on Quality Assurance findings;
- Assist with new hire training and onboarding to ensure education on data quality expectations and document retention policies;
- Oversee and verify correct completeness of required funder documentation and file expectations with regards to leases, renewals, furniture, unit condition/walk-throughs, environmental reviews, rent reasonableness, etc.;
- Communicate with program teams, management, and supervisors regarding data quality concerns, paperwork issues, etc, proactively to support a continuous focus on quality and system improvements;
- Attend meetings, trainings and community events, as appropriate or required;
- Facilitates a full benefit enrollment review with FSC program staff to ensure adequate training of benefit obtainment and tracking;
- Screens potential SOAR participants for program eligibility and documentation readiness, assisting with SOAR appointment scheduling and coordination and SOAR application completion as needed;
