CHTC is a leading player in the CBD supply chain manufacturing industry based in Eugene, Oregon. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team and oversee our Refinement and co-packing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Provide strong leadership to a team of approximately 40 employees, including Refinement and co-packing operations staff.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and mentor direct reports to build a high-performing team.
Operational Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and drive operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational objectives with overall business goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Manufacturing Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Refinement and co-packing facilities, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently and within budget.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices in manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Supply Chain Management:
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize supply chain operations, including raw material sourcing, inventory management, and distribution.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant certifications.
- Lead investigations and corrective actions for any deviations from quality or compliance standards.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and regulatory agencies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the CBD or related field.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and quality standards, such as GMP, FDA, and OSHA.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing industry environment.
