Joffe Emergency Services provides security, safety, and medical support services to empower schools, organizations, venues and event organizers to confidently prevent and manage emergencies and save lives. Through a combination of expert planning, training, consultation, and direct staffing, we ensure every organization has what’s needed to keep their community safe, secure, healthy, and prepared for emergencies. Our current team includes EMTs, firefighters, security officers, social workers, and education administrators who are passionate about community safety. With decades of first-hand experience in health, safety, and emergency preparedness, we not only understand best practices, we know how to apply them to protect people.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Director of Marketing to lead our company-wide marketing and brand building efforts. We are seeking a dynamic and savvy individual who can develop and manage our overall marketing roadmap, ensuring we launch targeted campaigns and complete projects at a healthy pace to meet our goals. The role will report to the Chief Executive Officer, and be part of Joffe Emergency Services’ senior leadership team. Joffe Emergency Services is an entirely remote company, so location is flexible.

Essential Responsibilities
Strategy development and planning
- Develop a comprehensive and aligned strategic marketing plan that aligns with and supports the overall company growth goals
- Track local, state, and national trends, issues, and activities that impact JES’s brand, programs, goals, and activities.
- Lead the development of a content calendar to plan content themes and messages for the year
Campaign building and content creation
- Lead efforts to ensure JES’s internet and social media presence is current and relevant
- Create compelling creative content to reach target audiences
- Oversee development of Marketing materials by contractors and internal staff - including collateral, creative assets, digital and email marketing, and online/website presence
Oversight and coordination of Marketing activities
- Manage staff, agency providers, consultants, freelancers, and other suppliers, including contract negotiation
- Build systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the team’s marketing work
- Establish and monitor project schedules, deliverables, budgets, data insights, and results
- Work directly with sales and division leader to support their business development efforts
- Measure the success of Marketing efforts with metrics, including market share, conversion rates, promotional response rates, return on investment, and trend analyses
Team leadership
- Manage department budget and priorities
- Over time, hire and manage additional staff to build a dedicated marketing, as aligned with the company’s overall growth plan
Minimum Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience marketing strategy and implementation.
- 2-3 years of experience at a leadership level.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience with social impact, health and safety, education, or similar issues-focused marketing and branding.
- Proven results working with digital, email, print and online marketing initiatives.
- Demonstrated success as a creative thought leader and collaborator in the formulation and implementation of Marketing strategy.
- Excitement for issues related to health, safety, and emergency medical response.
- Experience with database marketing/segmentation.
- Excellent project management experience with ability to simultaneously manage and prioritize numerous projects.
- Strong data analysis and market research skills to inform strategic decisions.
- Deep knowledge of the evolution of B2B growth and marketing tactics and tools.
- Creative and flexible problem solver who executes based on core principles, rather than trends.
- Possess positive energy and collaborative spirit: skilled at working cross-functionally and navigating ambiguity when there are multiple competing demands on your plate.
- Prior experience working closely with a sales team, with an understanding of typical sales pipeline stages, lead to opp handoff and other key concepts in managed services sales.

Status: Full-Time
Salary: $115,000 - $130,000
