JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for implementing HR policies, programs and managing all aspects of employee relations. Dynamics Director of HR will manage staffing & recruiting, organizational development, performance management, compensation & benefits administration, and employee counseling services. This individual is resourceful and has excellent communication & leadership skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, team-work, and high performance.
- Implement HR polices & programs as required by the business.
- Create organizational development through succession planning and other HR business strategies.
- Recruit and retain top quality employees for each department, conduct management level and above interviews.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources Management Information Systems (HRIS).
- Mitigating risk by providing employee counseling services for personal issues and company complaints.
- Create compensation plans and provide administration and high-level support for employee benefits.
- Ensure employee safety, wellness, welfare is aligned with business culture and strategy.
- Identify, establish, and ensure the execution of HR key performance indicators (KPI).
- Records management.
- Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
- Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
- Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
- Developing and designing change management strategies that support the organization as it experiences shifts in priorities and organizational change
- Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.
- Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
- Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development for the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Director of HR will exhibit strong leadership skills with the management of a team of 8 plus staff.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources and or a Business Degree with a concentration in Human Resource Management preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in human resource management
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including: listening, coaching & training
- Strong leadership, project management & time management skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior level executives
- Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Able to develop new HR policies & programs based on business requirements
- Solid business acumen, management reporting, and problem-solving skills
