The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and passionate people-focused leader to join our team as the Director of Human Resources.
The Director of Human Resources for See Rock City, Inc. stands at the nucleus of our organization's evolution, personifying the visionary force driving our people-centric success. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Human Resources champions our culture while embracing a forward-looking, collaborative approach to HR functions. This includes developing clear, actionable initiatives supporting SRC's overall business strategies. With a focus on teamwork and exceptional service, the Director leads the HR team, blending traditional HR practices with up-to-date strategies to foster a positive, dynamic, and productive workplace environment.
Responsibilities

  • Leads the HR team in cultivating a corporate culture aligned with our mission, values, and commitment to growth, inclusion, and equal opportunity.
  • Ensures a top-notch employee experience through robust engagement, team building, and recognition programs.
  • Oversees comprehensive employee development programs, aligning with our culture and business objectives.
  • Designs and implements leadership development initiatives, fostering team cohesion and morale across all levels.
  • Manages performance systems to enhance employee engagement and align goals with business aims.
  • Directs talent acquisition, developing effective recruitment strategies and continually evaluating job roles.
  • Guarantees a seamless new employee experience with thorough orientation, onboarding, and training.
  • Maintains compliance with employment laws, staying updated on industry trends.
  • Collaborates with COO and CEO to set and implement staff incentive programs aimed at boosting morale, retention, and productivity.
  • Works with senior management to develop compensation and benefits strategies, coordinates annual insurance renewal with broker and is a member of the 401(k) committee.
  • Establishes HR metrics and dashboards to assess effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Manages the HR team's annual budget and oversees the administration of the HRIS system.

Requirements
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with over five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degrees or HR certifications such as PHR or SPHR are preferred.
  • Should have proven experience in a senior HR role, with a strategic mindset to align HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Strong knowledge in HR practices, employment laws, and regulations, along with proficiency in HR technologies and systems, particularly Paylocity or similar HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively presenting information, leading classes, and writing business reports and HR documents.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to service excellence, embodying the organization's values, and an ability to maintain a professional image.
  • Must possess strong computer skills, flexibility to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, occasional travel, and the physical ability to perform various job-related tasks. Must be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
