Reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, the Director of Human Resources (Employee Experience) in this highly visible role will create a vision to shape the Human Resources function, and design and iterate programs and processes to create amazing “moments that matter” across the employee journey. Moments that matter may focus on any of 6 core areas: Talent Branding and Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Technology and Analytics, Orientation and Development, and HR Special Projects.
The Director will define, drive, and deliver the global employee experience strategy with a specific focus on improving employee engagement and satisfaction, and contributing to building a more unified, collaborative culture across the organization, while galvanizing employees and stakeholders at all levels. This position will assist in the development and championing of a truly diverse workforce, where our employees can thrive and be their authentic selves. This role will also be responsible for taking a deep dive into processes and systems to support developing and enhancing employee service areas.

Responsibilities:
- Bring mission, purpose, and values to life throughout the employee life cycle.
- Works with internal cross-functional teams, partners, vendors, to identify, develop, and implement new engagement programs, tools, processes, etc. that drive the employee experience and reinforces Rising Ground’s (RG) culture.
- Develops employer brand and employee value proposition (being an employer of choice) in partnership with key collaborators.
- Defines and executes recruiting brand, sourcing, and retention strategy to attract employees supporting business needs; infuses orientation and onboarding activities.
- Implements, interprets, communicates and, where appropriate, recommends HR policies and procedures for implementation.
- Actively participates in the creation and documentation of process improvements with a focus on leveraging technology and automation; research and recommends systems.
- In collaboration with HR Leadership, evaluates effectiveness of total rewards (inclusive of benefits and compensation programs) while ensuring they are market competitive, cost effective and aligned with Rising Ground’s goals.
- Advances Rising Ground’s work in diversity, fairness and belonging, and actively engages employees in internal and external initiatives.
- Develops, implements, and maintains a sustainable rewards and recognition program that acknowledges employees’ contributions.
- Builds on our existing feedback channels to maintain an open and fluid effective feedback culture; creates and/or contributes tools, training materials and resources to help leaders successfully build action plans based on results.
- Supervises, coaches, and develops team to propel first-class employee experience.
- Compiles data, completes and supports reports; analyzes and utilizes data trends to support improvements where needed.
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation; ensures adherence to federal and state statutes and administration of company personnel policies.
- Participates on committees, perform special projects, and other duties based on organizational needs.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with specialization in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field; equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered with extensive specialized experience.- Minimum of (8) years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity; Human Resources Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP or higher) or interest is a plus.
- Expertise in two (3) or more areas desired: policy design, total rewards, benefits, recruitment, compensation, compliance, employee relations, analytics, strategic planning.
- Excellent managerial, supervisory, and leadership skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast paced, challenging and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of human resources law and best practices.
- Ability to set direction, develop and lead learning while advancing strategies that improve user adoption and manage end user expectations.
- Ability to handle matters of confidentiality with utmost tact and diplomacy; ethical decision making.
- Strong consultation and negotiation skills with the ability to seek out information and provide quality advice.
- Analytical ability to gather and summarize data from reports and make recommendations on findings.
