The Role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Director to lead our efforts in workforce compliance and overall HR management. This role demands a hands-on approach and the ability to navigate the complexities of HR management across all 50 states and Canada. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic oversight and a ability to delve into the nuances of HR operations and improve HR processes. With a focus on compliance, process improvement, and the management of large hourly workforces, this role is crucial for our continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance with labor laws and regulations across all 50 states and Canada.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy for a diverse and widespread hourly workforce, including in retail, hospitality, and warehouse sectors.
- Lead process improvement efforts in HR operations, employing Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.
- Direct hands-on involvement in day-to-day HR tasks, demonstrating a 'get-your-hands-dirty' approach.
- Manage large-scale workforce projects, balancing the needs of both the company and its diverse pool of freelancers.
- Collaborate closely with the payroll team to ensure seamless integration of HR and payroll processes.
- Enhance employee relations, ensuring high levels of workforce engagement and satisfaction.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in HR management, particularly with large hourly workforces in retail, hospitality, or warehouse settings.
- Demonstrated experience in managing HR compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including all 50 states and Canada.
- Process improvement experience with a preference for Six Sigma certification or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in strategic HR planning.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on advanced data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
- SHRM-SCP or CP certification strongly preferred.
