DIRECTOR OF FAMILY SERVICES
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Family Services will be responsible for the oversight, program development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all Family Services programs.
- Monitor the agencys Family Services programs to ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards and to ensure that services meet or exceed contract, funder, and agency standards.
- Provide regular supervision to program managers, facilitate open communication, and provide regular team meetings with managers.
- Assist program managers and clinical supervisors with crisis-related issues.
- Responsible for management of program services at all HYC locations, which may also include management of services provided at various sites within the community.
- Attend and support all county department and program related meetings.
- Responsible for the overall management of contracts, certifications, and relationships with all funding sources including Department of Public Health, Department of Children and Family Services, Probation Department, Los Angeles County Office of Education, local school district partners, and other county department and community-based partners.
- Monitor the fulfillment of department contracts and be responsible for overall auditing of contracts, including accurate documentation of all service activities, preparation of periodic contract reports, and compliance with all contract requirements in accordance with Federal, State, County, City, and agency guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience working in programs serving LGBTQ+ population, high risk children and families, child abuse prevention, domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health, teen parents, pregnant and expecting parents, etc.
- Current and active registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
- Demonstrated previous experience in the supervision and management of direct service personnel and community programs.
- At least two years of management experience with the responsibility of managing a team of approximately 10 individuals.
- Ability to present proof of all vaccinations, including COVID-19, as required by Los Angeles County Vaccine Ordinance.
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW), Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or related mental health/human services field required.
- Familiarity with County of Los Angeles departments, including Department of Public Health, Department of Children and Family Services, and Probation Department.
- Ability to successfully pass a TB screening test.
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residence.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
- Valid California state drivers license.
- Current auto insurance, and a good driving record.
Preferred:
- Active license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
