POSITION PURPOSE: The Director of Business Development oversees all strategic relationship building and business partnerships within an identified region.
Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday. 50-75% of this role will be spent traveling to different existing locations of the company while creating relationships with local partners and attending networking events.
SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION:The Business Development Director will be responsible for driving company growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Networking
- Responsible for building relationships in the community
- Responsible for stimulating census growth by educating the referral community on the agency’s services and gaining admissions to agency programs
- Represents the agency at community events and creating partnerships that are mutually beneficial
- Networks to build agency’s exposure and brand
- Development
- Develops marketing plans and analyzes business opportunities
- Create strong internal relationships with agency staff to assist with gaining admissions
- Perform detailed market research to provide growth opportunities
1. EDUCATION: High School Diploma required
2. EXPERIENCE: Two years' experience in a sales, marketing, or community engagement position (required).
3. KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING REQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE: Proven experience in the healthcare field, organizational skills, time management, and the capacity to work independently in the community. Connections within the identified region helpful.
