The University of Southern California Leventhal School of Accounting seeks an Associate Director of Admissions to lead the School's graduate programs admissions efforts. Leventhal's graduate programs consist of the full-time Master of Accounting (MAcc), Master of Business Taxation (MBT), MBT for Working Professionals, and MBT Certificate programs. Altogether, the graduate programs team supports over 200 students.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Counsels prospective students on the various programs offered. Provides information on admissions procedures and timelines. Assists with application questions.
- Ensures all documents required by the university are received prior to moving an application forward in the process. Reviews applications, oversees applicant interviews and is a member of the admissions committee making decisions.
- Develops and executes recruitment strategies to attract applicants to the program. Attend various in-person and virtual events to promote programs and conducts regular information sessions. Develops relationships with other university contacts and plans presentations.
- Maintains admissions tracking. Updates website and marketing materials.
- Researches financial aid resources and advises applicants and current students of opportunities.
- Support the Leventhal graduate programs and overall initiatives of the Leventhal School of Accounting by working collaboratively with staff and faculty on events, projects, campaigns, etc..
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Occasional nights and weekends required. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing priorities and fluctuating workloads while meeting deadlines
- Experience in a higher education environment, preferably in the area of business
- Strong knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of university admissions and experience interacting and communicating with senior administration and faculty
Anticipated Hiring Range:
The annual base salary range for this position is $64,554.07 - $83,464.97. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
