Description:
Our client who is experiencing fast growth is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team! The role entails managing and coordinating activities within the Accounting Department including month and year end closings, compiling financial packages, overseeing financial data calculation, and managing a small accounting team.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Developing and implementing accounting plans.
- Establishing work procedures, schedules, and assignments to ensure efficient workflow.
- Reviewing work for accuracy, adherence to policies and procedures
- Developing, reviewing, maintaining processes and streamlining processes internally
- Ensuring accurate and timely monthly and year-end closings and compiling monthly financial packages.
- Overseeing annual financial statement audits.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, plus a CPA highly desired
- Minimum of 10 years accounting experience in either public accounting audit or with a mid to large sized corporation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a mid to large sized accounting department
- Proficiency in accounting software for medium-sized companies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
