The opportunity
Identify, develop, execute, and analyze successful marketing promotions and platforms that will build awareness of Teva and provide value to our customers. This individual will oversee communications and promotions for Teva’s generic portfolio in the United States. Individual will also lead a team of 2-4 members directing the development and maintenance of various websites, utilizing project management tools, employing digital and print tactics, and maintaining a database of all Teva US products.
How you’ll spend your day
- Oversees the development and execution of launch communications for 20-40 new products annually. Initiates and maintains strong lines of communication with other internal groups, and ensures each launch is executed on time and with accuracy.
- Oversees communications and product requests for 500+ in-line products. Communications may include but are not limited to general messaging, price changes, NDC changes, obsoletions. Maintains product database and distributions lists.
- Defines and executes marketing and promotional campaigns and tactics, including but not limited to emails, websites, videos, and sales tools.
- Ensures all communications communicate Teva’s values through their content, accuracy, timeliness, and appearance. Determines priorities for the department to ensure launch readiness.
- Leads the promotional review process, collaborating with Regulatory, Legal and Medical Information. Stays abreast of FDA advertising regulations and guidelines. Ensures all materials are in compliance and meet the marketing objectives.
- Supervises and guides the “non-traditional” marketing function by providing direction for identifying these products in our new product portfolio and determining the marketing plan to support a successful product launch.
- Tests, measures, and analyzes the effectiveness of marketing efforts, and makes adjustments as needed to achieve strategic objectives.
- Manages vendor/agency relationships and utilizes Teva’s in-house creative resources.
- Leads a team of 2-4 direct reports. Oversees team’s workload and assignment of responsibilities.
Your experience and qualifications
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline
- MBA is preferred
Experience Required:
- 7+ years in pharmaceutical marketing, pharma agency, or related commercial pharma role
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and guidelines for pharmaceutical advertising
- Project management
- Database management or administration
- Supervising direct reports
- Email marketing
Experience Preferred:
- 3+ years generic or multi-source pharmaceutical marketing
- 3+ years overseeing website development and/or maintenance
- Using CRM platforms for online marketing
Functional Knowledge:
- MS Access or similar database
- MS Office
- Understanding of the generics drug industry
- Strong writing, editing and presentation skills
