Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi (CSG Law), a full-service regional law firm based in Roseland, NJ, is looking to hire a Public Relations & Communications Assistant to join its Marketing Department.
The PR & Communications Assistant will be responsible for extending the firm's brand and supporting the growth of the firm through the development of communications and media relations programs. This team member will be responsible for a wide variety of Public Relations activities including:
- Craft compelling press releases and communications materials that effectively communicate the firm's brand
- Cultivate strong relationships with media contacts throughout a wide variety of business and industry publications
- Develop editorial forecast report, solicit article proposals from attorneys and pitch bylined articles and thought leadership pieces to various industry and business publications
- Assist in the preparation of materials for key industry surveys and rankings organizations, collecting data and developing compelling ways to share the information
- Maintain an up-to-date press list of journalists and media contacts
- Coordinate data collection for survey responses
- Assist in the design and publication of client-facing content including alerts, newsletters and other materials
- Support on other communications and marketing activities as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, journalism, marketing, or a relevant field
- Superb written and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in an agency or corporate PR setting is a plus
