Direct day-to-day activities in support of online and hybrid credit and non-credit course offerings. Plan, schedule and manage online and hybrid course production and delivery. Responsible for setting employee and/or group goals, deciding on organizational structure to meet the goals, assessing employee and/or group performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Georgia Tech leadership, staff and faculty, academic faculty. This position typically will supervise: Instructional Design and Technology, and Media Producing, staff.
ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Develop and administer unit annual budget plan; monitor all expenditures for personnel, equipment, materials and supplies.
Job Duty 2 -
Plan, schedule and manage production, delivery, and support activity required for online and hybrid distance learning delivery of course offerings.
Job Duty 3 -
Provide for the efficient and effective operation of the department through staff organization, activity monitoring and coaching.
Job Duty 4 -
Direct the development and implementation of all credit and non-credit online course websites to provide course quality and minimize technical problems.
Job Duty 5 -
Respond to student/faculty/staff questions, requests for assistance and information as required.
Job Duty 6 -
Supports marketing of all online learning courses through responding to inquiries, visitor tours, and presentations.
Job Duty 7 -
Manage projects successfully, collaborating with other GT units and vendors,as necessary.
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Four to five years of job related experience
Master's Degree in Instructional Design and or Technologies.
Proposed SalaryThe proposed salary range for this position is between $93,863 - $120,000.
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesSKILLS
This job requires a working knowledge and skills in the application of distance learning theory and technology. An in depth understanding of a wide range of instructional technologies, learning theory, student support, communications and specialized computer applications is required as is staff organization and supervisory skills.
