Job Summary

Reporting Directly to the Vice President of Sales, the Global Sales Director will be a senior management team member who architects a rapid and sizeable expansion and reorganization of the Global Sales infrastructure. The reorganization will be in line with the complete shift in the company’s software delivery model to a 100% SAAS business. The Director will help design the new organization, recruit, develop and measure the expansion. Leveraging their experience working in SAAS sales environments, they will adapt our processes based on our product, culture, and market realities to follow a more Global Sales standard playbook, with customized practices where they make sense. They will be involved in the development of standards and strategies for every aspect of the sales cycle in cooperation with the VP. Once the full organizational restructure is complete, they will manage the ongoing Global Sales efforts through a group of regional sales managers who have local responsibility for their own resources and quotas.

Responsibilities

Will contribute to building multifaceted enterprise and customized applications for a diverse and growing international client base. Tasks will include:

  • Recruit, hire, develop and Manage Regional Sales managers
  • Develop Sales Standard Processes and Procedures; a sales playbook outlining best practices and sales methodologies
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales function
  • Develop long term sales goals/quotas/commission models
  • Generate and evaluate sales reports that help drive strategy and priority
  • Collaborate with sales engineers and marketing team to ensure those departments effectively support sales managers and reps and drive enterprise value
  • Establish a strong working relationships with cross functional business leaders in functions such as Product Managers, Marketing, Project Implementation, and various other strategic functions.
  • Provide team with the necessary tools, resources, coaching, and trainings to succeed in their roles
  • Foster a high-performance culture and develop future leaders
  • Maintain a pipeline full of sales by directing the actions of the regional sales teams
  • Analyze local and national trends in the market as researched by marketing team
  • Attend conferences and trade shows with sales team members
  • Develop key relationships with clients

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related fields; MBA or equivalent would be a plus
  • At least 5 years of managing a team of direct reports; experience collaborating remote with geographically distributed teams
  • At least 2 years of Global Sales experience
  • At least 5 years of SaaS experience
  • Experience using HubSpot preferable

  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role, preferably as a Global Sales Director
  • Exceptional leadership and team building skills
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively to drive results and capable of driving change effective across the sales department
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Travel Requirements

  • Minimum of 50% of domestic and international travel required

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
