Job Summary:
Dynamic and results-driven Digital Sales leader with a background in digital media and the energy industry. The Digital Sales director is responsible for a portfolio of brands in Texas and managing a diverse sales team focused on the strategic and tactical execution in achieving sales count and market share goals. The Digital Sales director will partner cross-functionally to ideate and launch digital strategies to increase customer acquisition sales while delivering on organizational margin targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong Digital Sales and marketing skills, knowledge of customer conversion funnels and have the ability to work collaboratively to optimize the shopping experience.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop Texas region paid lower funnel digital strategy in partnership with digital performance agency with the focus on increasing sales counts, conversion rates, and optimization to reduce COA.
- Develop sales forecasts and budget spend to support at a region and brand level, which would include updates throughout the year based on business needs / priorities.
- Lead digital performance agency in alignment with regional sales efforts, including exploring incremental opportunities with NRG business development teams to support partnerships.
- Develop wholistic, effective Digital Sales strategies and support team of direct reports to optimize the sales journey to drive customer acquisition.
- Enable sales execution team to partner with sales process & insights and pricing teams to enhance the Digital Sales experience, including product listings, ordering, pricing, and prioritization.
- Identify opportunities with the product offering or channel mix based on target segment or market by channel to further the wholistic Digital Sales experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales execution, go-to-market, marketing, product management and reporting, to ensure alignment and integration of Digital Sales initiatives.
- Partner with testing, sales process & insights and agile teams to identify and implement innovative ideas and initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience and drive customer conversions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of sales strategy in alignment with go-to-market expectations for goal attainment.
- Identify opportunities and provide recommendations for growth and improvement based on performance data provided by reporting teams.
- Lead, support and develop a diverse, high-performing sales team by enabling campaign execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years' experience in Digital Sales and marketing (i.e., paid search, programmatic display, etc.).
- At least 5 years' experience leading a team as a people manager.
- Experience managing an outside agency.
- Strong communicator with ability to present to large groups as well as to executive team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and meet timelines.
- Strong understanding of online sales strategies, customer acquisition, and conversion funnel optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with teams to achieve common goals.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and communicate ideas and strategies.
- Experience leading diverse, remote team.
- Marketing/Digital/Advertising agency experience preferred.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Experience in digital platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools.
- Background in media, digital marketing, or related field is highly desirable.
- Background in the energy or utilities industry is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint).
