About the Position
The Golden State Warriors are looking for a passionate Director to lead our Community Relations (CR) efforts and serve as an ambassador for the Warriors throughout the Bay Area. In this role, you will work with a variety of internal departments to develop community and partner engagement strategies to make recommendations that align with our philosophy. This position will also support company events and activities as assigned and reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Government and Community Relations.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the day-to-day activities and responsibilities of the CR department
- Develop programs and initiatives that amplify and support GSW's social responsibility mission and objectives, as well as NBA Cares and Social Responsibility initiatives
- Serve as main point of contact for the CR department for both internal departments and external audiences, including participation in strategy discussions, intake meetings and delegation to team members where appropriate
- Work directly with Corporate Partnerships to intake and onboard partners with community integrations, including participating in initial ideation process, developing pitch materials and content, and delegating programs and initiatives where appropriate
- Build and foster relationships with external community partners on behalf of GSW, including non-profit organizations, service providers and community leaders
- Manage and coordinate Player Appearance Committee (PAC) meetings
- Serve as liaison between Business and Basketball Operations as it relates to corporate and community player appearances, working alongside SVP of Communications
- Serve as liaison between GSW and NBA social responsibility team and counterparts on other NBA teams and sports leagues
- Aid in communications efforts related to GSW's Community Relations work, including coordination with the Public Relations team
- Represent GSW at a variety of community events
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 7 years in community affairs, cause-marketing or corporate social responsibility; 1 year of people management experience
- Digital, social media and traditional marketing knowledge
- Impeccable attention to detail and project management skills
- Ability to collaborate, influence and build partnerships both internally and across industries (e.g., sports and entertainment, non-profit, education, technology and government)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with finance and CRM software (e.g., Concur, Coupa and Salesforce)
- A passion for professional basketball, live entertainment, and social issues facing our community
- Valid driver's license
Time Commitment
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation
- $108,000 - 114,000 + Bonus
