POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Operations Engineer is responsible for real-time engineering support, quality control, ticketing, reporting requirements and monitoring equipment health for multiple active simultaneous stimulation operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Review all treatment design parameters to ensure adherence to customer requirements and analyze results to provide technical recommendations to customers.
- Work closely with frac crew leadership in pre-job planning; confers with Engineering and Operations to develop and implement job operating procedures.
- Work closely with supply chain control tower (CT) to ensure efficient field operations support
- Prepare pre-job files and distribute to Field Engineer/DPO on site and operations and engineering teams.
- Monitor frac treatment parameters for up to three jobs at once and provide technical recommendations to best adhere to customer specifications and to account for reservoir response to treatments.
- Provide real-time technical support for customers and field operations teams.
- Utilize mathematical and engineering principles to design and model stimulation treatments as needed.
- Prepare job tickets.
- Follow up with customer after service to ensure all aspects of the job were completed to expectations.
- Create accurate post job and post stage reports & provide customer data as per specific format request.
- Remotely perform Frac diagnostic tests, pressure History Matching and other Frac Engineering duties as required by Management and customers.
- Monitor equipment usage and conditions utilizing traditional trend identification as well as advanced analytical models.
- Monitor and analyze new technology equipment health monitoring data.
- Create repair & maintenance (R&M) work orders for equipment as needed
- Work with internal and third-party data scientists to improve existing and develop new machine learning tools for operating more efficiently.
- Collaborate with maintenance and technology to perform root cause analysis on premature failures.
- Perform any and all other job duties as assigned.
- Completion of assigned Frac EDP training is required
- Proficiency with any or all of MS Office 365, Google Suite, Salesforce, FracPro, FieldPro, any CMMS and/or any EAM/ERM preferred.
- Ability to dynamically analyze and recommend solutions to problems in real time
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Communicates effectively with Digital Operations personnel, job site personnel and Management.
- Provides first rate customer service. Quickly responds to customer requests and provides anything that is required.
- Exercises a high level of integrity in performing duties. Always reports chemical volumes, sand volumes and treatment data accurately.
- Maintains confidentiality of customer and internal information.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Complies with all NexTier life rules and policies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Required
- 1 year of Field Engineer experience in Pump Down/Perforation Wireline is required.
